Summary :

The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the aggressive and successful growth plans of the company.  This position advises the Regional Sales Manager, VP of Sales and other members on all relevant issues relating to customer service but also acts on behalf of the company in any way necessary to support company initiatives and customer satisfaction.  Through a methodical, respectful, constructive, and energetic style, the Inside Sales Coordinator provides the support, management, and vision to inspire a focus on operational excellence, people systems, productivity, and a bias towards action.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Receives and processes customer inquiries and orders via telephone, fax, e-mail, and in person, ensuring accurate data entry data entry of sales orders, pricing updates, special orders or sample requests.
  • Assist Account Executives and National Business Development Manager to facilitate the positive experience of our customers.
  • Answer multi-line phone in a professional manner and direct call to appropriate department and greet customers and visitors in a friendly professional manner.
  • Upsells additional products, promotes new items and specials, and advises customers of discontinued products.
  • Responds to all customer inquiries and complaints and documents complaints and distributes to required staff.
  • Actively participates in sales meetings and training sessions to stay informed on current products and initiatives.
  • Send out bid sheets to predetermined customers on a weekly basis.
  • Provides technical assistance and product information to customers as needed.
  • Reports shorts, quality or any other pertinent customer concerns to Account Executive or National Business Development Manager and local management as appropriate to diagnose and resolve.
  • Reports unusual or discontinued usage of items to Account Executives or National Business Development Managers.
  • Follow through with sample requests and special orders.
  • Follow through after invoicing by ensuring in-house protocol is followed.
  • Coordinates with the Logistics Manager to ensure customers’ shipping requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
  • Embraces working together as a Team and assists where needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to meet customer expectations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This job operates in an office, warehouse, and production environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  90% of time will be spent in an office environment lifting no more than 20lbs on occasion.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Education, Training and Skills Required :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) Required
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
  • 2 years of experience providing customer service in an office setting
  • Intermediate computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1 year of food manufacturing experience preferred
