Charge Capture Specialist

A company is looking for a POS Charge Specialist for ED Observation.

Key Responsibilities

Review patient records and assign appropriate billing codes using coding software

Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation and communicate findings

Collaborate with other staff to maintain consistency in coding practices across the system

Required Qualifications

High school diploma / GED or equivalent working knowledge

Two or more years of related work experience in a clinical or medical office setting

Knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory agency requirements for coding

Proficiency in common office software and coding / billing software

Understanding of reimbursement methodologies
