Job Summary
Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking an Infectious Disease provider to join their growing team in Scranton, PA. Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) is an acute care hospital with 293 beds. GCMC provides high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents throughout Lackawanna County and northeastern Pennsylvania. It features Level II trauma center and electronic intensive care unit in Lackawanna County
Job Duties
The ID physician Deals with infectious diseases of all types and in all organs, including conditions requiring selective use of antibiotics. This specialist diagnoses and treats AIDS patients and patients with fevers that have not been explained. May also have expertise in preventive medicine and conditions associated with travel.
Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
