Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Phoenix, AZ 85013 (Arizona healthcare jobs) Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit Employment Type : Travel Nurse, On-Site Start Date : December 8, 2025 Contract Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state) BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – required before first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification – required before first shift Epic EMR experience preferred Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in a Med / Surg setting (2 years highly desired) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients Deliver direct patient care, including planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses using Epic EMR Supervise and provide guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff Promote a culture of safety for patients and healthcare staff by following all hospital protocols Initiate discharge planning and provide patient / family education from admission through discharge Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care Participate in team-building activities and contribute to a positive work environment Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study Perform other nursing duties as assigned Experience the best of Arizona healthcare while making a difference in patient lives.
