Finance Manager
Location : Cromwell, Connecticut

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 / 8 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 / 5 : 00 PM
Position Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to lead key accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for managing the financial close process, overseeing budget planning, and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and analyze complex financial entries and account reconciliations.
Manage monthly and annual financial close processes.
Assist in budget development and monitoring, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
Provide clear financial analysis and reporting to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Coordinate external financial audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide budgetary decisions and control expenditures.
Lead or contribute to strategic financial initiatives, including system upgrades, operational reviews, and forecasting.
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's degree is a plus.
Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as MIP and Microx.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with MIP financial software.
Strong background in audit preparation and execution.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Independent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00 / yr.
