AI Data Engineer

Role Summary

As an AI Engineer on the Business Intelligence team at Citadel Securities, you will drive the strategic development and hands-on implementation of AI-powered tools and agentic workflows. Our goal – streamlining operational processes and enabling faster, more scalable decision-making across the firm.

We are looking for a jack of all trades to tackle a high-impact, end-to-end builder position. You will identify high-ROI opportunities, design and prototype AI solutions, and collaborate closely with world-class engineers and business leaders to scale your work across the organization. Your work will support development of the firm's internal AI roadmap to deliver measurable impact through automation, applied machine intelligence, and experimentation.

Objectives

Engineering and Implementation

• Keep up to date with and evaluate cutting edge AI techniques and architectures that can enhance or replace existing operational workflows
• Build, test, and scale agentic systems using modern frameworks
• Develop internal tools and full-stack applications to automate repetitive or high-effort tasks across departments
• Translate prototypes into production-grade Python systems, with an emphasis on maintainability and performance

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $300,000.

In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive compensation program, as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, retirement and tax-free savings plans, and access to other healthcare programs.
