Senior Manager Environmental Engineer

The Senior Manager Environmental Engineer ensures Ryder’s environmental projects comply with regulatory and company requirements and that remediation and capital projects at Ryder’s fueling locations reduce risks and control costs.
Essential Functions
- Manage execution of the 15‑year Fuel Storage Tank Management Plan and supervise Project Engineers and Environmental Engineering staff on fuel tank installations, upgrades, and removals.
- Design and manage installation of vehicle maintenance facility lubricant and compressed air systems.
- Supervise environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring, and remediation projects and maintain Company SPCC, Industrial Waste Water, and Storm Water Management Programs.
- Ensure environmental project standards comply with Ryder Accounting and financial reporting guidelines and maximize reimbursement from State Trust Fund Reimbursement programs.
- Lead supplier qualification and competitive bidding processes for environmental consulting, contracting, and laboratory services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, geology, environmental sciences, or related field.10+ years managing site assessment and remediation projects, including UST removal and underground fuel tank system maintenance and replacement.10+ years progressive project management experience with emphasis on underground and above ground fuel storage and dispensing infrastructure in a regional or national operating environment.Strong communication, organizational, and office Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project capabilities.Leadership skills to mentor and motivate junior staff on Environmental Engineering and Environmental Services teams.Travel

Pay Type : Salaried
Minimum Pay Range : $140,000
Maximum Pay Range : $160,000
