About the Role :

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to guide the development of Atmosphere's next generation of custom hardware and Android platform. This role sits at the heart of how our product comes to life in 60,000+ venues worldwide, from the devices that stream our content to the systems that keep them running flawlessly. The ideal candidate thrives in hands-on environments, loves solving complex technical problems, and is excited to shape how Atmosphere's technology evolves. You'll collaborate across teams, influence technical direction company-wide, and help define what "reliable, scalable, and simple" looks like for the platform that brings our content to life.

This position will report to the CTO, and is on-site in Austin, TX! Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate who's ready to join us in Austin. Availability to be in-office 4-5 days a week is required.

Key Responsibilities :

• Be intrinsically motivated, naturally curious, and enjoy seeking out new problems. Drive novel solutions with groups of other engineers.
• Lead development of Atmosphere's custom hardware and Android platform from technical requirements through production, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage vendor relationships proactively - anticipate needs, drive clear communication, and partner with them to deliver solutions that keep our team focused on product development.
• Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders (product, design, data, customer support, sales, content etc...) to design and deliver robust / reliable software solutions to business problems
• Leverage excellent technical skills to improve systems and uplevel those around you
• Collaborate with other engineers and figure out how to make us better / faster / stronger
• Champion best practices, developing engineering culture, and have influence outside your direct team within the engineering organization.
