Overview

Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring we maintain accurate global regulatory requirements. This role works closely with the Quality and Regulatory Manager to monitor, report, and provide guidance on regulatory matters, strategize on mitigating risks, and support a strong companywide compliance culture, in addition to administrative work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with staying up to date on relevant regulations and laws, monitor industry trends, develop and implement regulatory strategies and overall program development.
  • Lead on global treaty country permits, approvals and applicable documentation, including reporting on research for exporting / importing regulations.
  • Gather and review for accuracy all applicable COA reports from vendors and maintain up to date records.
  • Manage and maintain all compliance requirements for multiple global regulations (for example, EU GPSR, EU Deforestation, Global EPR Packaging, etc.)
  • Coordinate the preparation of and may prepare document packages for global regulatory submissions as well as for internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Work with team on coordination of third-party testing for finished goods products.
  • Perform ongoing evaluations of internal operations, controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation as related to regulatory compliance and report findings and translate insights into actionable recommendations and strategic proposals.
  • Educate and collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent application of compliance standards.
  • May serve as point of contact for interactions with regulatory agencies for defined matters.
  • Assist with vendor compliance program initiatives.
  • Ensure continuous improvement efforts around department regulations and standards tracking and general global records file organization.
  • Recommend, create, or revise regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality cross-training initiatives to develop a broader skill set and enhance departmental flexibility.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 4 year Business Degree and 3 years' applicable experience or a combination of education and / or experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Data Analytics.
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written, email, presentation, etc.).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent critical thinking, business judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Work well with tight deadlines, be flexible as priorities change.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience working with global regulatory agencies.
  • Possess ability to explain complex compliance topics to audiences with no direct experience in the subject matter.
  • Experience bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations, with excellent analytical skills.

  • From $70,000 annually
  • Quarterly profit sharing
