Position Overview
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is seeking an Advanced System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex network, cloud, and security solutions. This role involves engineering and administering computer and network infrastructure, including hardware, servers, virtual machines, and storage systems, while ensuring robust security and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement cloud computing strategies and collaborate on project plans.
- Design and develop infrastructure diagrams and technical documentation.
- Build and install computer and network infrastructure (hardware, servers, VMs).
- Manage network access, storage systems, firewalls, and security settings.
- Maintain and administer Active Directory Domain, DNS, DHCP, and Windows servers.
- Support servers, NAS, lab networks, and client workstations.
- Perform archival backups and troubleshoot NAS systems.
- Provide technical support for forensic workstations and hardware configurations.
- Ensure compliance with DPS and DFL standards for hardware / software installations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed network documentation and mapping.
- Ability to testify in court regarding server integrity and data security.
Required Skills
Expert-level experience with :Cisco (Catalyst), Hewlett-Packard (Aruba), Mellanox / Invidia (Cumulus / NVue) hardware and configurations.
Lenovo Unified Storage (Natapp FAS) solutions.Network hardware / software architecture and Lenovo Think Systems storage.Active Directory Domain administration, DNS / DHCP services.NAS maintenance and archival backup management.Preferred Skills
Familiarity with TrueNAS.Experience working with Certified Forensic Computer Examiners (CFCE).Strong documentation and network mapping skills.Antivirus software maintenance and updates.Ability to manage technical projects related to networks and security.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Additional Requirements
