Job description

About the Role :

As a Field Service Technician with Peak Technologies, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our customers’ printing and forms handling equipment operates at its best. You’ll handle installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and technical support — all while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working independently while traveling to different customer sites.

What You’ll Do :

  • Install, maintain, and repair thermal transfer printers, impact printers, laser printers, and forms handling equipment (FHE) .
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize customer downtime.
  • Provide preventative maintenance and ensure equipment runs at peak performance.
  • Maintain organized inventory and accurate service records, reports, and time documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding job status, ETA, and resolutions.
  • Promote service contracts, parts, and upgrades to support business growth.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and consistently deliver excellent service.
  • Stay current through ongoing training on Peak Technologies’ products and applications.
  • Follow all safety and company policies and proactively look for ways to improve processes.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining thermal transfer, impact, and laser printers , as well as forms handling equipment .
  • 2–4 years of field service, IT, or related technical experience (Associate Degree or technical certification preferred).
  • Strong electro-mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and mobile applications.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and travel frequently
