Senior Facilities Project Engineer Position Summary :
This position offers the opportunity to lead key infrastructure and utility projects that enhance operational efficiency, facility reliability, and overall safety performance.
The Senior Facilities Project Engineer will serve as a technical expert supporting the design, construction, and maintenance of building and utility systems. The role will involve managing capital and improvement projects, overseeing installations, and ensuring all work aligns with environmental, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management capabilities and hands-on experience with mechanical and building systems within a production or regulated environment.
Senior Facilities Engineer Responsibilities :
- Plan, coordinate, and execute facility and utility infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, timelines, and contractor deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project activities with production and maintenance schedules.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, manage bid processes, and ensure adherence to contractual and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot facility and utility system issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all project work complies with corporate, safety, and regulatory standards (FDA, GMP, or equivalent).
- Provide technical guidance and training support to internal teams as needed.
Senior Facilities Engineer Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field required.Minimum of 6 years of experience in facilities, utilities, or mechanical project engineering within a manufacturing environment.Proven success leading capital or facility improvement projects from planning through commissioning.Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, process piping, utilities, and building infrastructure.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office toolsAbility to work on site in Rochester NYBase salary $120,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience.
