Security Officer - Unarmed Media Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Media Patrol in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Pay Rate : $18.41 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 05 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Wed 05 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Thur 05 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Fri 05 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with controlling visitor and employee access to designated areas within the location as required.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site management and / or local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
