The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative III - Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the organization to patients seeking diagnostic and routine health services. This role requires technical phlebotomy expertise, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills. The PSR III collects and processes specimens accurately and efficiently while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership behaviors, maintains a high level of accuracy, and supports multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing with accuracy and professionalism.Provide a positive, confidence-building experience for patients during blood draws.Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling in the patient's presence.Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and quality procedures .Travel between assigned Patient Service Center locations as business needs require.Ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and patients to ensure efficient service.Required Experience :
3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Minimum 2 years in a patient service center or related healthcare setting preferred.Experience in customer service or a retail / service environment highly valued.Nice-to-Have Experience :
Prior experience floating across multiple sites.Familiarity with the client or similar clinical laboratory workflows.Knowledge of both forensic and clinical specimen protocols.Required Skills :
Excellent phlebotomy technique and strong attention to detail .Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills .Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA , and infection control standards.Flexible scheduling ability (may include weekends or holidays if needed).Leadership and mentoring capabilities.Additional Skills :
Commitment to accuracy, safety, and confidentiality.Ability to adapt quickly in high-volume, fast-paced environments.Excellent communication and time management skills.Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).Vaccine Requirements :
