Personal Lines Account Manager
Job Summary :
Under the direction of the Personal Lines Manager, manage the servicing of an assigned book of business in the Personal Lines Department to ensure clients receive prompt, accurate and professional solutions. Tasks include discussing renewals with clients, re-marketing renewals, providing overall account servicing to assigned clients, verifying, and maintaining account accuracy, and billing and payment processing duties.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
- Manage the servicing of an assigned book of business in the Personal Lines Department
- Discuss renewals with clients both verbally and via email
- Re-market renewals utilizing the PL Rating comparative rater platform
- Review daily download reports and identify issues needing to be rectified
- Attend both virtual and in-person meetings with the Personal Lines team to collaborate and stay current on carrier and industry trends
- Quoting and binding policy re-writes when applicable, and keeping Account Executives / Producers informed
- When applicable, assist with New Business quoting, and cross sell homeowners, auto, umbrella, and specialty Personal Lines products with existing clients
- Provide coverage insight to help clients understand their portfolio
- Build relationships with carrier Underwriters and act as an intermediary between the client and carrier
- Obtain client payment methods and process payments accordingly
- Provide clients with resolutions to billing related questions
- Create and maintain account details in AMS360
- Perform administrative / clerical duties including filing, copying, processing mail, creating spreadsheets, etc.
- Process endorsements on existing policies
- Field incoming phone calls and contact clients by email and phone to clarify, provide, or acquire necessary information
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client and organizational data
- Demonstrate integrity, self-accountability, honesty, and a positive attitude toward clients, other staff, management, and business contacts in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
High School Diploma requiredPossession of a valid State of Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance Agent LicenseMinimum of 2 years of experience working in personal lines insurance requiredComputer skills necessary to maintain various records and prepare reports; familiarity with the use of general office equipmentProficiency with MS Office Suite requiredAMS360 and ImageRight experience desired; will consider experience with related agency management systemsKnowledge and understanding of generally accepted office proceduresGood organization and time management skills are required to successfully perform the duties of this positionInterpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a wide variety of business associates including clients, all levels of staff, Insurance companies, etc. in the exchange of information and resolution of outstanding issuesPhysical ability to sit for prolonged periods of time at the computerMental ability to handle pressures related to meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and maintaining accurate and detailed recordsWorking Environment :
Normal office environment with little, if any, discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like. Evening or weekend work hours may be occasionally required.Hours : Monday-Friday, 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm (Flexible)
