This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a RAN Virtualization EMS / OSS / Platform / Transport Engineer in United States .

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated RAN Virtualization Engineer to support the integration, deployment, and troubleshooting of EMS, OSS, and transport platforms in modern wireless networks. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of telecom systems. You will provide Tier2 / Tier3 expertise, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with R&D teams to drive issue resolution and new feature development. The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge virtualization, orchestration, and network management technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and technical leadership.

Accountabilities :

  • Integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain EMS / NMS / OSS / OAMP / FCAPS subsystems across wireless networks.
  • Provide Tier2 / Tier3 expertise, working under pressure to resolve commercial EMS / NMS, platform, and transport issues, including proposing workarounds.
  • Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and deliver technical solutions.
  • Assist subject matter experts in developing product and feature requirements, system designs, and performance analysis.
  • Support new product rollouts, enhancements, and operational commitments with strong focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Document system configurations, upgrade procedures (MOPs), and provide guidance on network management strategies.
  • Ensure successful implementation of high availability systems and adherence to standards for network protocols, interfaces, and automation frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with EMS / NMS / NE, OAMP / FCAPS, and RAN network elements.
  • Proven Tier2 / Tier3 SME experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and commercial network software / hardware upgrades.
  • Experience in network management systems, high availability systems, and subsystem design in telecom.
  • Knowledge of Netconf protocol, YANG models, REST APIs, VES / SNMP standards, and NMS / OSS interfaces.
  • Familiarity with automation / orchestration frameworks (ETSI MANO, TOSCA, ONAP) and virtualization platforms (OpenStack, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with L2 / L3 switches and routers, TCP / IP networking, QoS, VLANs, virtual switches, SAN / NAS / iSCSI storage, and security groups.
  • Strong problem-solving, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in both team-based and independent environments.
  • Ability to travel sporadically and work under project pressures.
