Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns within the technology, media, and telecom environment. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and support security-related policies and procedures. Write detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site. Collaborate with law enforcement and / or emergency response personnel when required during incidents or emergencies. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Tech Site - Full Time
As a Security Officer - Tech Site - Full Time in Hopewell Junction, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a leading technology environment to help maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and interact professionally with employees and visitors. You will play an important role in access control and contribute to a positive experience for all on site, reflecting our values of reliability, innovation, and teamwork.
