Job Description

Lead the craft. Elevate the process. Inspire the team.

We are looking for a CNC Process Leader who thrives at the intersection of precision, mentorship, and continuous improvement. You will operate cutting-edge mills and lathes, make smart programming tweaks, and coach machinists so perfect parts are produced the first time—and every time.

How you will make an impact

Picture this : a complex component hits the schedule. You review the blueprint, set up the job, verify offsets, and run first-article checks. You adjust G & M code to optimize cycle time without sacrificing tolerance. You notice an NVA step in the changeover and remove it. Quality validates your fix; Engineering captures the standard. Later, when a teammate is out, you step onto the machine to keep output on track while keeping 6S and safety front and center.

  • Lead, coach, and cross-train machinists in best-in-class CNC practices.
  • Teach the team to distinguish VA from NVA work and set goals to eliminate NVA.
  • Work with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to solve problems and implement improvements.
  • Oversee schedules, consumables, and issue maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Uphold standard work, safety procedures, and 6S—sustainably.
  • Support production coverage during absences and improvement events.
  • Execute the build plan and chart results hourly.

Experience and skills (preferred)

  • 2+ years as a Team Lead in a machining-focused manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years on CNC machinery, including basic maintenance and programming adjustments in G & M code.
  • Expert problem solver with critical thinking and a continuous improvement orientation.
  • Influential leader and patient trainer; able to mentor without direct authority.
  • Precision-driven : adept with metrology, interpreting blueprints / schematics, and using measurement tools.
  • Work style and expectations

  • Strong track record for performance, reliability, and attendance.
  • Willing to work extended hours, overtime, and weekends when required.
  • Comfortable with computers; MS Office and Oracle preferred.
  • Clear, professional English communication—written and verbal.
  • Role parameters

  • Shifts : 1st or 2nd.
  • Physical : lift / move / manipulate up to 35 lbs; stand and / or walk for extended periods.
  • Employment type : Full-time.
  • Compensation : $27.50–$30.00 per hour.
  • Incentive : $4,000 sign-on bonus distributed in installments across your first year.
