Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A high school classroom is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to lead instruction in a self-contained setting designed to support students with hearing impairments and additional learning needs. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering specialized education tailored to the unique requirements of high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Position Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) that address each students specific munication and academic needs.
• Deliver instruction in core subjects using accessible formats, differentiated strategies, and visual supports to enhance understanding.
• Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant munication methods to facilitate full engagement and interaction within the classroom.
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
