Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support our E.B. Furnace operations. This role involves end-to-end project planning and execution, including equipment maintenance, repair, and modification. You'll work closely with foremen and technical leads to ensure maximum equipment reliability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan and carry out maintenance and improvement projects from start to finish, including cleanup and reordering of materials.
  • Work within tight tolerances to ensure high-quality fit and finish on mechanical components and installations. Inspect molds and dovetail puller assemblies during clean-outs and post-melt campaigns.
  • Perform or coordinate necessary repairs with the Melt Shop Foreman, Sr. Mechanical Technician, or external contractors.
  • Recommend and implement authorized system modifications to enhance furnace reliability and performance. Review E.B. Furnace Operator logs daily to stay informed of current production and maintenance issues.
  • Document all maintenance work and updates before the end of each shift.
  • Change oil / filters in gearboxes, air compressors, hydraulic pumps; grease wear parts. Replace belts, clean equipment, inspect wear items, ad perform preventive maintenance. Paint and maintain plant equipment.
  • Maintain mechanical systems : compressors, conveyors, washers, blowers, sprinkler systems, etc.

    • Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Must be able to wear a respirator.
  • Must be willing to work overtime to ensure projects are implemented on a timely basis and customer demands are met.

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $31.00 plus Shift differential, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
