As the senior project controls analyst, you will be responsible for controlling the scope, cost and schedule for a portfolio of very large construction projects. Under minimal direction, you will exercise your judgment and be responsible for all aspects of project governance. Projects typically have a multi-year duration, and some may be high profile. The position requires skills in managing cross-functional, multi-location project teams using cutting edge project management methodologies, and providing updates to Sr. Level Executives.
Your Day-to-Day Activities :
Plan and Organize
- Input financial forecast data and provide analysis using software like SAP and Primavera P6
- Create and maintain project schedules define activities, work breakdown structures, predecessors, successors, resources, and baselines
- Support project manager in preparation of business cases, contingency releases, and management of project budgets within established project governance rules
- Develop, monitor, and update cash flow projections
Analyze
Analyze and report on variances for project cost and scheduleCreate and maintain Excel-like spreadsheets for reporting and analysisMeasure the progress of activities and milestones in project schedulesExecute
Assist with the execution and administration of contracts, process change orders, and validate and perform accrualsSupport meetings or calls with project team members and stakeholdersSupport project manager in holding team members accountable to action itemsCommunicate
Prepare and present timely updates to project manager, analyst supervisor, and senior management.Keep all stakeholders informed of project developments through meeting minutes, action logs, and status reportsManage Risk

A Bachelor's degreeThree plus years of work experience in utility constructionExperience with project scheduling and financial analysis, including financial accruals.Good verbal and written communication skillsYou'll stand out if you have
