Pest Controller

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining pest control operations at United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. Ensure compliance with federal, state local laws and regulations.

Primary Job Functions

• Complete pest control work orders, maintain records or preventative maintenance in accordance with the Pest Control Management Plan using DoD-approved methods, equipment, and materials.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify pest activity, conditions contributing to infestations, and areas requiring treatment.
• Responsible for maintaining the Pest Control Management Plan.
• Ensure proper storage, mixing, and handling of pesticides, including disposal, in compliance with federal and DoD standards.
• Use PPE, respiratory protection, and safety procedures required by DoD and OSHA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years' experience in Pest Control

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations.
• Ability to work after hours for emergency repairs.
