Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal ICU / NICU

  • Work location : Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
  • Mother-friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility
  • Work hours : Full Time Nights (6 : 45PM-7 : 15AM) for 36 hours / week, with Weekend and holiday requirements

Neonatal ICU / NICU Department Highlights

  • Our team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU / NICU unit with 16-beds – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, and working with Feeders / Growers in our family-centered care unit

    Here’s What You Need

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
  • BSN is preferred
  • One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • One year or more of Neonatal ICU / NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
  • What You Will Do

    Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
