CNC Machine Operator

Location: Kentwood, MI

Pay: $22-24/hr

Shift: 8pm-6am Sunday-Friday - 50 hours per week

Job Summary

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated machine tools to produce precision parts
• Set up and adjust CNC lathes, CNC mills, multi-spindle screw machines, and grinding machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machining equipment
• Ensure parts meet quality specifications and production requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
• Experience using precision measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to work assigned shift with overtime as needed
