We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality to lead Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Configuration Management, and Safety across the organization. This role oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and drives continuous improvement aligned with company growth goals. The Director of Quality reports to the Vice President of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the QMS to achieve and maintain company certifications and maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Support the President in developing Quality Program Metrics and Objectives which align with the corporate mission and objectives.
- Coordinate Quality Program activities across the company, aid in setting the Quality Program budget, and ensure activities are executed within the allocated budget.
- Monitor, track and report corporate performance against Company Metrics and Objectives at the appropriate forums.
- Serve as the management representative and primary interface with external auditors and consultants on all QMS and Safety related activities.
- Coordinate and communicate process improvements and staffing plans.
- Ensure compliance audits are performed, as required, to maintain certifications and the integrity of the corporate QMS.
- Effectively communicate Quality Program information across the company to promote compliance to quality policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide the required QMS training to all employees in accordance with policies.
- Lead and / or support process improvement activities across the organization which align with corporate and QMS objectives.
- Participate in the development of corrective and preventative action resolution plans and ensure plans are executed in accordance with resource and schedule allocations.
- Ensure safety audits are being conducted as required by the Safety and Health procedure.
- Support other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Aviation, or Science.
15+ years of quality or technical experience on DoD programs, including 10+ years in AS9100 program management.
3+ years with Deltek Costpoint ERP or similar systems (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.).
Proven success leading profitable Quality Programs.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
