American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of full-time experience using Philips equipment and Level 1 trauma inpatient experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level 1 Trauma, academic teaching hospital environmentInpatient caseload includes trauma, burn, stroke, surgical, and underserved patient populationsDaily caseload of 6–8 echo studies per technologistUses Philips equipment and Xcelera for imaging and workflowCharting is completed in Epic and Xcelera systems4x10 hour day shifts, 7 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM, with variable weekday offTwo Saturday shifts required per 13-week assignmentOn-call requirement is four standby shifts per month, scheduled weekdays 5 : 30 PM–7 : 00 AM or Sunday 7 : 00 AM–7 : 00 PMNo floating required within the facility or to sister facilitiesResponsible for performing and documenting inpatient adult echo studies in a high-acuity settingHoliday coverage required for either Christmas or New Year'sFacility provides scrubs for all staffTeam-oriented work environment with opportunities to develop clinical and interpersonal skillsOrientation modules required pre-start, except EPIC module completed during orientationParking is available onsite and via a nearby offsite garage with weekday shuttle serviceNo RTO is permitted during orientation week and RTO is limited throughout the contractAllied health professionals must complete a pass / fail EKG exam upon start (80% to pass)Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years full-time experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer at a single facilityLevel 1 trauma and inpatient experience requiredExperience using Philips equipment and Xcelera is requiredRDCS or RCS and BLS certification requiredEpic EMR experience preferredCOVID-19 vaccination and booster are required with no exceptionsActive WA license or proof of pending licensure if applicablePrevious travel experience required; first-time travelers considered only with strong inpatient backgroundPrior staff must be separated for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler\n Benefits\n
