JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Configuration Manager plays a critical role in automating and optimizing AWS cloud environments. This position oversees cloud configuration, robust backup processes, efficient patch management, and secure certificate installation. The role partners closely with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver a highly available, compliant, and secure cloud environment that supports the organization’s ongoing operational needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement configuration management processes, policies, and standards for AWS environments using Terraform for infrastructure automation and consistency.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions on AWS using Terraform; play a critical role in automating and managing AWS resources to support efficient application development and delivery.
- Design, automate, and maintain AWS backup solutions to ensure data integrity and retention compliance across services (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, CodeCommit).
- Establish automated patching workflows for AWS infrastructure to maintain security and compliance standards.
- Install, renew, and manage SSL / TLS certificates on AWS services to ensure secure communication and system integrity.
- Work with AWS Code Suite : CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
- Maintain documentation and track configuration changes to ensure consistent, up-to-date environment baselines.
- Conduct regular audits on configurations, backups, patch levels, and certificate installations, recommending improvements to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps for deployments, backups, patching, and with Security teams to support a resilient and compliant infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and training on best practices for Terraform, backup strategies, patching, and certificate management.
- Manage multiple environments (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod) and ensure consistency across infrastructure configurations.
- Document IaC processes, standards, and module usage to support maintenance and onboarding.

Bachelor’s degree in programming / systems or computer science (or specialized training, certification, or equivalent experience) and configuration management experience with proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code, focused on AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and ACM (AWS Certificate Manager).Experience with backup solutions and automated patch management in cloud environments.Expertise in SSL / TLS certificate management on AWS services and related security protocols.Preferred Qualifications
(Preference will be given to candidates with some or all of the following) :
