Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues / problems but may need assistance in resolving. Performs engineering work related to planning, devising, or adapting methods to improve manufacturing production. Examines equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggests improvements. May have responsibility to carry out changes or monitor operations standards.
Required :
One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in manufacturing and / or assembly process development, evaluation and support in a private, public, government or military environment.
Demonstration of skill in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
Demonstration of effective equipment design, specification, and procurement for automated or robotic assembly applications. Can also demonstrate effective project management by showing results of project validation and acceptance criteria.
Prior experience or familiarity with light assembly, assembly automation, robotic applications, material handling, or inspection equipment
Experience with Keyence vision systems or Fanuc robots and / or vision systems preferred.
Experience fabricating and troubleshooting automated assembly equipment preferred.
Nice to have :
Implementing lessons learned and best practices in the form of poke yoke processes and result in reduced PFMEA RPN scores.
Determines priority of multiple project options that give the most value by thorough analysis utilizing lean and six sigma tools.
pplication of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to make data driven decisions that improve productivity and quality.
