About the Role
The Company is in search of an innovative Vice President of Program Development to spearhead the strategic advancement and execution of its grantmaking initiatives. This senior leadership position calls for an individual deeply committed to enhancing postsecondary outcomes, with significant experience in team management and mentorship. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the President / CEO and the executive team to define and implement organizational priorities, overseeing the Foundation's grantmaking efforts across all areas, and ensuring optimum effectiveness and impact within the program team.
The ideal candidate will cultivate a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and professional growth while upholding the Foundation's core values and maintaining consistency in grantmaking processes. Applicants should have a minimum of 15 years of work experience, with at least 7 years focused on strategy development and performance measurement, preferably within grantmaking for a private foundation. An advanced degree in social sciences, education, or a related field is required, alongside a proven history of effective team leadership and management.
Successful candidates will be exceptional relationship builders, communicators, and storytellers, adept at publicly representing the Foundation. A deep understanding of the systemic barriers affecting postsecondary success and experience in co-developing strategic learning agendas and evaluation plans are essential. Curiosity, a collaborative spirit, and outstanding project and time management capabilities are vital for this role.
