Desktop Support Specialist / IT Support Engineer

Location : Hybrid – Hackensack, NJ

Employment Type : Full-Time

Salary Range : $75,000.00 / yr – $95,000.00 / yr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide exceptional technical assistance and end-user support across hardware, software, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365 applications (especially Outlook and Word), and iManage document management systems.

This role will be responsible for ensuring a seamless technology experience for all employees through proactive troubleshooting, efficient issue resolution, and professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Support and manage video conferences and virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams and Zoom, ensuring smooth setup and operation.
  • Maintain and track all IT equipment inventory, ensuring accurate records and timely updates.
  • Document all support requests, incidents, and resolutions in the Firm's ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on hardware and software to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup, account configuration, and permissions management.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support, IT helpdesk, or end-user support roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Outlook and Word.
  • Experience with iManage document management system (strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience supporting Teams and Zoom for video conferencing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
