    The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) to join their executive team. The CUO will be a key leader in driving underwriting excellence, portfolio performance, and strategic growth. This role is pivotal in leading a unified underwriting strategy across various market segments, with a focus on ensuring profitable growth and a strong underwriting mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a sales-driven culture, aligning underwriting operations with emerging opportunities in technology and data analytics, and enhancing broker relationships to promote sustainable profitability. Applicants for the CUO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of commercial lines underwriting experience, with a strong foundation in portfolio analytics. A four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required, with industry designations such as CPCU, ASLI, and ARM preferred. The role demands a leader with strong sales acumen, a proven track record in product development and innovation, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Technical expertise in underwriting and experience in the competitive E&S marketplace are significant advantages. The CUO will be expected to champion a future-focused vision, enhance leadership capabilities, and drive talent retention within the underwriting team.
