As a Mechanic or Full Service Automotive Technicians with Big O Tires, you are the person that our customers look to when they need help with their vehicle. You are the people who take extra care of the customer's vehicle and return it in better condition than received. Repaired right the first time. This position requires someone that has integrity and a strong work ethic, is good at problem solving, pays attention to detail, has good communication skills, and is adaptable. This is a position for a some one who wants to make a positive impact on others lives and vehicles. Someone who is willing to help other Technicians in the industry.

Full Service Automotive Technicians have the responsibility of informing service advisors and / or management of necessary repairs and / or recommended maintenance of the customers vehicle.

Full Service Automotive Technicians can earn 60k + a year and up (we have techs making $100k plus per year) Pay will be based on proven experience and abilities.

• This position requires 2 years verifiable shop experience.

Duties

• Perform repairs purchased by customer properly
• Diagnose vehicles as needed and inform service advisor of necessary repairs
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance needs
• Utilize power and hand tools to complete service tasks
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding service recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience in automotive repair or dealership setting required (2 years minimum)
• Automotive Knowledge and willingness to continue to learn
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
• Strong communication skills to recommend additional services
• Knowledge of vehicle alignment procedures
• Current Drivers License

Physical Requirements :

• Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday Saturday, 7am 6pm
• Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
• Consistently lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
• Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
