  • Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • No. of Beds in Department : 35 ED beds
  • Trauma Level : Level III Trauma Center
  • EMR System : Meditech & Dragon
  • Specialty Backup Available : APPs work between Main ED & Fast Track
  • Support Staff Available : APPs, Residents (moonlighting)
  • Reason for Coverage : Supplemental

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered

    • REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • General emergency medicine procedures
  • 64-Slice CT available

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Missouri license required
  • Board : BE / BC in EM, FP, or IM (must have 3 years ER experience); ABEM preferred
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : ACLS, ATLS (required); PALS preferred
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years ER experience for non-EM boarded physicians
  • Other Qualifications : Experience with Meditech & Dragon preferred

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide emergency department coverage
  • Participate in 12-hour shifts across flexible schedule
  • Coordinate with APPs between Main ED and Fast Track
  • Evaluate and manage a diverse patient population
  • Accept moonlighting residents for coverage support
  • Accurately document all care in EMR
