Certification and License Requirements :

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing \n
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification \n
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred but not mandatory)\n

    Job Description :

    \nJoin the dedicated team at Springfield Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg / Tele unit. This fast-paced, high-quality environment offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care across a variety of medical conditions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to adult patients.

    Key Responsibilities :

    \n \n

  • Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg / Tele environment, managing a patient load of approximately 1 : 5.\n
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.\n
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and other advanced procedures.\n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.\n
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress.\n
  • Provide patient education and support to promote recovery and well-being.\n
  • Assist with occasional PCU (Progressive Care Unit) responsibilities on a 3 : 1 patient ratio, including non-negotiable drip medication administration and charge nurse duties.\n

    What You Bring : \n \n

  • At least 1 year of recent RN experience in Med Surg or Tele units.\n
  • Proven competency in managing IV drips and complex medication administration.\n
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and work under pressure during night shifts.\n
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.\n

    Preferred Education & Experience :

    \n \n

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN).\n
  • Previous experience working in an acute care hospital setting.\n
  • Experience with PCU patient care and managing complex medication regimens.\n

    Additional Details : \n \n

  • This assignment is scheduled to end on March 22, 2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.\n
  • The hourly rate is $429.31, with a taxable weekly pay of $642.42.\n
  • Holiday RTO requests are not available; all scheduling requests are already reserved.\n
  • Holiday multiplier of 1.25% applies; overtime will be compensated at regular rate.\n
  • Travelers must be able to work charge nurse and drip responsibilities.\n
  • Please note : 48-hour notices will not be accepted for schedule changes.\n
