Job Description :

Saratoga Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join their team. This role involves providing exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining strict adherence to hospital protocols. The shift schedule is from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, offering a 12-hour shift structure that supports work-life balance. Candidates should be prepared for ongoing collaboration with surgical teams and utilize their expertise to deliver top-tier patient care.

What You Bring :

At least 3 years of recent, active OR nursing experience in a hospital setting

Proven ability to scrub in and assist during various surgical procedures

Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities effectively

Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and potentially additional or holiday shifts

Certifications & Licenses :

Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification ( Required )

EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (must have)

Preferred Education & Experience :

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher is preferred but not mandatory

Previous experience working in a hospital setting with exposure to a variety of surgical specialties

Familiarity with Epic EMR systems and hospital-based nursing protocols

Additional Details :

Guaranteed 40 hours per week, with the possibility of working every other holiday

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 5 shifts per contract period

NOTE : The unit will not accept travelers from Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, or Albany counties in NY
