As a Front-of-House Shift Lead for Nothing Bundt Cakes, you are responsible for overseeing the guest experience, managing bakery operations during your shift, and leading the team of "Joy Creators". The position requires a combination of strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a focus on exceptional customer service.
Essential job functions and responsibilities
Operational leadership
- Supervise all front-of-house team members during your assigned shift to ensure efficiency and uphold Nothing Bundt Cakes' high standards.
- Co-facilitate opening and closing procedures, including balancing cash drawers and preparing bank deposits.
- Assist the Bakery Manager with operational and administrative tasks, such as creating cake production plans, setting productivity goals, managing team schedules, and ordering supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and visual appeal of the bakery, including retail displays, point-of-sale (POS) stations, and the lobby.
Guest experience and sales
Serve as a role model for superior guest engagement by ensuring every customer feels welcomed and receives excellent service.Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.Assist guests with special orders, including managing web and email requests and coordinating large, complex orders.Promote special offers and uphold the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand image at all times.Team development and support
Support the Bakery Manager in training new team members to Nothing Bundt Cakes standards and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.Communicate clear expectations and delegate tasks to the team, directing their work to maximize efficiency.Embody the company culture by promoting the Nothing Bundt Cakes values, which include a "Servant's Heart," "Spirit of a Champion," and "Genuine Connections".Additional responsibilities
Collaborate on marketing strategy execution by assisting with local community events.Maintain hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles and be ready to step in to help with any task as needed.Represent Nothing Bundt Cakes professionally in the local community as a Brand Ambassador.Qualifications
Experience : 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant, or food service environment, with experience in a lead or supervisory role being preferred.Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, a sense of urgency, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Availability : Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical requirements : The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.xx
