We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Martinez, California. This role involves working independently in a dynamic environment to support a workforce across multiple locations. Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary HR contact for up to 85 employees across nine locations, providing guidance and support on various HR matters.
- Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and providing coaching and training to supervisors and managers.
- Oversee recruitment processes, including collaborating with hiring managers, reviewing candidates, and ensuring compliance with company and state guidelines.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the organization.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, compliance, and timely processing of terminations.
- Maintain HR systems, pulling reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs to support employee growth and development.
- Collaborate with leadership to enforce policies and procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with 401k, 403b, and other benefit-related contributions and accommodations.
- Handle performance management processes, providing tools and programs to promote employee success.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a Generalist role.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- Proven ability to manage benefits programs, including 401k and 403b compliance.
- Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Paychex, for payroll, leave management, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a multi-site workforce.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic and detail-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with state and federal employment laws and regulations.
