Clinical Director
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Salary : $120K - $130K; based on experience
Qualifications of the Clinical Director :
- Must hold either CASAC w / Masters or Bachelors, LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW
- Minimum of 5 years age / population / area specific clinical experience
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred with ability to provide clinical supervision to counselors and therapists strongly preferred; and / or equivalent education or experience in job related activities
- Qualified health professional as defined by NYS Department of Mental Hygiene, Division of Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse, Chapter X, Part 374
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills as they relate to the NYS licensing standards and JCAHO accreditation standards and be accountable for compliance with these standards as they apply to the Inpatient Program
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Program evaluation and development skills
- Organizational skills for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments
- Good supervisory and motivational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use EMR software
- Knowledge of and ability to apply information regarding cultural / age / population specific characteristics to the patients in the assigned area
- Ability to deescalate a person in crisis in a calm and supportive manner and to teach same; CPR, First Aid certified or eligible
Responsibilities of the Clinical Director :
Oversees Clinical SupervisorsProvides clinical supervision for counselors and other treatment team membersAssigns clients to individual counselors and follows up for client management discharge planning, and next level of careOversight of daily huddles, case conferences, and meetings of the treatment teamObserves, evaluates, and motivates counselors relative to their assigned dutiesProvides direct care services and clinical supervision as needed within scope of practice defined by licensure and within clinical scope of practice set forth by OASASEnsures that a welcoming, safe and healing environment is maintained for each patient and family throughout the continuum of careRecommends ways to improve the quality and delivery of servicesCollaborates with medical staff and floor personnel to facilitate patient schedules#7308
