Job description

Journeyman Electrician

ELCCO Inc. is a leading electrical contractor in the Hawaiian Islands. Responsibilities

  • All licensed journeyman responsibilities must be continually satisfied
  • Installs, maintains, and / or troubleshoots advanced electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Comprehends and incorporates specifications effectively
  • Demonstrates ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
  • Consistently completes portions of projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner
  • Capable of leading small crews (2-5 electricians) effectively
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively coach and mentor crew members
  • Enforces a safe jobsite and maintains compliance with company safety, OSHA, and customer-specific safety standards

Qualifications

  • Active journeyman electrician license, Hawaii preferred, or willing to get within 3 months of employment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, degree in related field is preferred, 4 years of apprenticeship training (3 with 2-year degree from technical college)
  • Current driver license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Coaching / Development - Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge / skill areas
  • Project Management - Ability to organize and direct a project to completion
