A day in the life
You move seamlessly from diagnosing a finicky CNC to inspecting a fan drive, then switch gears to support a capital equipment install. As a multiskilled technician, you maintain and repair manufacturing equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems—confidently covering at least three of these domains.
- Diagnose machine issues, disassemble components, determine the scope of repair, estimate labor time, fabricate or source parts, complete the fix, test, and release equipment back to production.
- Execute preventive maintenance : inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; change filters and worn parts; clean and lubricate machinery.
- Monitor safety standards and complete scheduled inspections for all machines.
