Job description

Valgroup is hiring a Logistic Specialist to support our manufacturing facility in Findlay, Ohio .

What you will do :

  • Develops and ensures execution of daily shipping schedule to meet the due date desired by customer's needs.
  • Supports business relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure shipments will be shipped out as requested
  • Supports overall efficiency building efforts within the department including technology use, record keeping, and team building.
  • Understand and manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including minimizing obsolescence.
  • Apply good manufacturing practices for warehouse housekeeping.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills needed for success :

  • Education - Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years experience in a manufacturing logistic setting
  • Microsoft Suite - Excel skills, Word, SharePoint, Outlook
  • Strong Communication Skills - Strong written and verbal communication abilities for effective interaction with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional departments
  • Organizational Skills - Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and Strong attention to detail and time management
  • SAP experience
