Job descriptionShift Description : Mon-Fri Consult Coverage : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM Rotating weekends with overnight telephonic call Weekend Requirements : Yes (Rotating) On Call Requirements : Overnight telephonic call (Approx. 1 : 8) Assignment : Coverage needed while recruiting due to retirement Duration : ASAP for 6 months, with an opportunity to extend Practice Setting : Inpatient Oncology Unit Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric Practice Breakdown : Hematology : 60% Oncology : 40% Internal Medicine : 0% Team : Number of Physicians : 7 Radiation Oncologists present during locum coverage APP Coverage : 1 dedicated inpatient; 11 total (some round on weekends) Patient Load : Approx. 5-20 patients / day (variable) Clinical Area : Oncology and Hematology (Inpatient) Trauma Level : Level I EMR System : Epic Chemotherapy (Intrathecal) Participation on a Tumor Board Ordering tests and imaging Prescriptions Board Certified / Board Eligible BC Oncologist Active Connecticut License
