Regis currently manages a portfolio which includes office, industrial, and retail use.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chief Engineer to join our commercial property management team in the North Dallas area. Working under limited supervision, is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations at Concourse Office Park. This role ensures optimal performance of building systems, supervises engineering staff, and maintains strong relationships with ownership, tenants, and vendors. The Chief Engineer will lead initiatives in maintenance, safety, energy management, and workforce development.
What You Will Do :
- Lead and manage all mechanical and maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building upkeep.
- Supervise engineering staff and implement best practices for maintenance and operations.
- Manage contractor relations and safety programs, promoting a safe and habitable environment for tenants and staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance and repair programs and processes.
- Monitor and optimize energy usage through EMS systems and energy management tools.
Respond promptly to emergency situations (e.g., fire, evacuation, equipment failure) and tenant concerns.
Prepare budgets for utilities, repairs, and maintenance; manage expense tracking and invoice approvals.Maintain accurate records including utility summaries, accident reports, and emergency documentation.Conduct training and development for engineering personnel.Stay current with HVAC technology trends and ensure building systems are up to date.Approve time sheets and oversee performance evaluations.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of property operations.What You Will Need :
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial or institutional buildings with complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.At least 5 years of supervisory experience in engineering or maintenance.Strong hands-on experience with HVAC rooftop units and troubleshooting.EPA Universal License preferred, additional certifications in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry a plus. Certifications / licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have the ability to operate an EMS system.Knowledge of ticketing system; IMPAK is preferred.Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Work, Excel and Outlook.Ability to prioritize different projects and make decisions.Ability to work weekend and / or on call hours as needed.What We Offer :
