Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a  Fleet Diesel Mechanic A  to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer / tractor equipment at our facility shop in Lake Orion, MI.

Shift :   Full-Time  l  Monday-Friday 1 : 00PM-9 : 30PM

Pay : $31.00-$35.00 / HR based on experience and qualifications

  • Additional $1.00 / hour with active A or B license to hourly pay with CDL Incentive Pay

  • Position Responsibilities :

  • The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems
  • As a Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system
  • You will operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls
  • You will ensure that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy"
  • You will install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and / or cameras (DriveCam)
  • You will work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Required Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 3 plus years of related experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
  • Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Technical School Certification
