Multifamily Housing Program Specialist - Part Time

Montana Housing strengthens our vibrant communities by supporting access to safe, affordable and sustainable homes for Montanans whose housing needs are not met by the market. Montana Housing assists with buying a home, down payment assistance, mortgage servicing, Reverse Annuity Mortgages, rental housing assistance and multifamily rental development. MBOH is administratively attached to the Department of Commerce and is one of three component units of the Commerce Housing Division, known in the community and conducting business as Montana Housing. Duties include but not limited to :
- Program planning, development and servicing of a variety of multifamily loans.
- Creating, executing and amending loan documents as appropriate.
- Analyzing Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), bond and loan applications for financial and reasonable soundness. Producing portfolio performance reports and assisting in the presentation of loan portfolio assessments to the MBOH Board of Directors or other external audiences.
- Tracking development for LIHTC allocations and ensuring compliance with Montana's Qualified Allocation Plan.
- Participating in the preparation of bond structures, official statements, trust indentures, and closing documents to fund new projects and / or programs.
What are we looking for?
Education and Experience :
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a similar field preferredAt least 2 years of job related experienceAlternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Competencies :
