Upcast Supervisor | Second Shift

Direct Wire & Cable Inc. is hiring an Upcast Supervisor based out of our Lancaster facility. This role oversees production activities in the Cast House, including casting, sawing, homogenization, and related processes. The supervisor leads a team of operators, collaborates with maintenance and engineering, and ensures safety, quality, and production goals are consistently met in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience leading industrial production teams and a strong understanding of casting operations. This is a supervisor-level role that requires sound decision-making, clear communication, and a commitment to safety, quality, and team accountability. Flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct metal flow from furnaces through casting and finishing processes
  • Lead operations of vertical and inline casting units, rod caster, and homogenization furnaces
  • Oversee sawing and inspection stations to ensure product quality
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues with mechanical and electrical maintenance teams
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Support hiring, training, and development of Cast House operators
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other supervisors to meet production goals
  • Promote Direct Wire's core values and maintain a high-morale team culture

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, post high school training preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial or manufacturing leadership experience
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in a 24 / 7 operation
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty, indoor / outdoor environments
  • Flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with casting or downstream processing preferred
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license required

    • Shift & Location :

  • Schedule : 2nd Shift – Sunday through Thursday, and every other Saturday, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (overtime based on business need)
  • Our Upcasting facility operates 24 / 7 / 365, requiring flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
