We are looking for a skilled Director of Finance to lead and manage the financial operations of our non-profit organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and audits while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and oversight for all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, auditing, and reporting.
- Develop and monitor annual operating and capital budgets to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, projections, and variance analyses to executive leadership and relevant committees.
- Manage the revenue cycle, including reconciliation processes, billing disputes, accounts receivable, and participant billing.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare Part D regulations, including bid preparation, reporting, and pharmacy benefit monitoring.
- Coordinate external audits by preparing necessary schedules, analyses, and engaging directly with auditors.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide financial guidance for expansion projects, capital investments, and alternative care sites.
- Oversee purchasing and supply chain operations to achieve cost efficiency and pricing optimization.
- Supervise the preparation of regulatory financial reports and submissions as required.
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance compliance, efficiency, and mitigate risks.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the non-profit or healthcare sector.
- Expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting.
- Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Experience with healthcare administration and audits, including Medicare and Medicaid compliance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes and annual budget preparation.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with experience in staff recruitment and mentorship.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including integration with electronic medical records for billing and compliance.
