We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical assembly, installation, and commissioning of advanced automation systems.
You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all systems meet high standards for quality, safety, and performance.
This position requires flexibility and a willingness to assist beyond core electrical responsibilities.
You will receive cross-training in selected mechanical assembly tasks to support overall operations and maintain workflow across teams.
Occasionally, you may be asked to support mechanical builds or assist other departments.
Travel is required for this role and may involve first, second, or third shift depending on project needs.
Electrical Technician 2 Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform electrical assembly of standard and custom control subassemblies (e.g., PLC cabinets, HMI enclosures) based on engineering drawings Mount and wire electrical enclosures on automation modules and systems, including motors, sensors, I / O, and controllers Complete system-wide power and control wiring, including transformers and power distribution components Ensure all design changes are reviewed with Controls Design or Supervisors prior to implementation Support Machine Project Leaders (MPLs) in setup and system cycling to verify correct operation of electrical components Troubleshoot and resolve electrical hardware issues; assist programmers during device configuration and testing Assist in training and mentoring Electrical Technician 1 team members Collaborate with the Standards Supervisor on wiring for standard equipment and components Perform field service and travel for equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites, independently or with minimal supervision Accurately complete documentation including Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs) and Assembly Verification checklists in accordance with ISO and internal procedures Apply 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices in daily work Comply with all company safety procedures and collaborate with Safety personnel to maintain a safe working environment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and applicable regulations Electrical Technician 2 Job Qualifications : 3 - 5 years of hands-on electrical assembly and wiring experience in a manufacturing or automation environment Associate degree in an electrical field or equivalent experience Demonstrated proficiency in all Electrical Technician 1 responsibilities Familiarity with bill of materials (BOMs), change forms, and purchasing processes Comfortable interpreting and working from engineering documentation and electrical schematics Advancement potential determined by Manufacturing Supervisors, Manager, or Operations leadership Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull, climb, and balance throughout the workday Capable of lifting / moving 25 to 50 pounds unassisted Required to wear PPE and follow all safety protocols Benefits : 401(k) matching Health insurance Dental insurance Short- and long-term disability Life insurance Paid time off Paid parental leave Company paid holidays ESOP Tuition reimbursement Powered by JazzHR
