Titeflex / US Hose is a global leader in creating and adapting fluid and gas management products and quality programs, Titeflex expertise can be traced to its aerospace roots at the dawning of the space age. We provided solutions and service for demanding fluid and gas transfer requirements, whether the media be corrosive, caustic or combustible, under extreme pressure, temperature and flexing conditions. Primary markets include aerospace, chemical, petro-chemical, pulp and paper, petroleum equipment, heavy equipment, compressed gas, automotive, refrigeration, transportation, and dozens of other niche markets. The company has a long history of expertise in PTFE extrusion and wire braid reinforcement, and composite hose as the new integration of flexible metal hose with the merger of US Hose. Titeflex's background and experience in stringent and demanding hose requirements plays into the strengths of our applications engineers. We are able to assimilate some of the most difficult and demanding applications known today into customer satisfaction, borrowing from our experience and core technology. Committed to quality, Titeflex Quality Systems are 3rd party certified and has received numerous other certifications and accreditations.

Job Description

Job Summary and Essential Functions : The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position. Job duties to include but are not limited to;

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.

Helps to select, train, and develop necessary personnel.

Provides problem solving, support, and solutions for shop operations.

Provides process solutions through the use of six sigma techniques as well as lean manufacturing theory.

Maintains computer records of processes, bill of materials.

Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

Confers with product development staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Supports cost reduction and continuous improvement initiative.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies and abilities and any physical demands if required. Ability to read, write and interpret general business periodocals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

Ability to effectively present information to peers and management.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge of statistical process control math is required.

Must be able to communicate effectively.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Must have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software, MS Office software to include Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen techniques a plus.

Required Experience / Education / Training / Certifications :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; or two to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range expected : $60,000-$80,000 USD
