Schedule Details : Full-time, evening shift, with options for 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including call rotations (mostly overnight) and occasional weekend call in an 8-week scheduling window. Must arrive within 30 minutes for on-call duties.
Major Responsibilities :
Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operating environment for optimal patient care.Utilize aseptic techniques for the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.Set up and maintain the operating room for various surgical procedures, including equipment setup and sterilization.Assist surgeons by anticipating their needs during procedures.Monitor and report any equipment or supply issues promptly.Transport patients and assist with patient positioning when necessary.Maintain specialty carts or items to ensure completeness and availability.Demonstrate knowledge of patient care principles across all age groups.Licensure and Certification :
Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months, unless exempted by the department leader.Education and Experience :
Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.No prior experience required.Required Skills :
Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques and equipment used in surgical procedures.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements :
Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-stress work environment.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry equipment as required.Exposure to various hazards in the operating room; appropriate protective gear will be provided.Frequent movement, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching.This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic OR team and contribute to the highest standards of patient care!
